Module 3: Accommodations for Motor Impairments


Managing Work and Time (Planning and Scheduling)

An educator must plan lessons, keep to a semester-long and daily schedule, organize student grades, and maintain contact information.

These tasks should not be difficult for a person with a lower extremity impairment. For a person with an upper extremity impairment, most of the challenges will be related to writing, handling files, or using a computer, all of which are covered in other sections. One accommodation area that has not been covered is use of electronic organizers and PDAs.
